It comes together at the "appropriate time"! this essay highlights the joy of overcoming challenges and the satisfaction of finally achieving a long-awaited goal. Thanks, Jeanine.
Waiting on pins and needles to read if Reynoldo Garcia was everything that was advertised! Sounds like things are shoring up - ground breaking coming soon?
Yes! We sold store but Caleb and Nicole are going strong. The original location on the plaza was recently sold (to make condos sadly) and they moved shop 1/2 block away. On the stairs leading to their open air deck, they painted the title of my memoir Where the Sky is Born. I’ll try to add a photo —it’s too cute! May have to do separately.

Thank goodness after all that time things started turning in your favor. I'm glad positive momentum and better contacts brought your dream closer to reality Jeanine!
Really speaks volumes when you wrote that within 24 hours you accomplished far over and above what you'd been able to do in the previous five years! However, you certainly persevered and learned so much in the interim. Amazing and rather cosmic how things turned around for you guys like that! So often it seems that when we least expect it, something monumental occurs.
Yes. We’d first met Rodolfo and then Joe, through him and his wife, next day and had seen 3 lots! I guess when you’re ready, the universe rises to meet you? Or something like that. Also the hurricane was a true motivator for the locals as things were quite dire. That worked in our favor. Few tourists and much rebuilding to take place. Rodolfo and his wife had owned Ojo de Agua before the storm and we’d stayed there. Beautiful beach.

Thank you Tinashe. When in the throes of it all, so weird bc you’re just trying to tread water!
Reading this makes me feel the excitement you must have had at the time when it finally all came together.
Oh yes, Claire. It was pretty electrifying after so much not knowing.
Relief. Success at last...or is it. Waiting to see if the rug will be pulled out from under you again.
Poco a poco ! Moving along Lucinda!

Yes! And Reynoldo is much much more!!
Also, now I can't get the Katrina And The Waves song out of my head!
Haha. I know! Addictive.
Glad some good news finally entered this story. A tangential question occurs to me: does your bookstore still exist?

Thanks, good to know. I'll look for it when I eventually make it there.
I’ll DM you the photo. Couldn’t add to message.
Thanks!
Hope it came through - if not can try and email you (if I have your email?)

So refreshing to read an optimistic chapter about your Puerto Morelos land deal! I’m greatly looking forward to “meeting” Reynoldo!
Thanks Lana. Yes, Reynoldo is someone not soon forgotten.
There’s a time for everything. I’ve often wondered if this is true and I think it is. Great job, Jeanine!
Thank you. Yes, so true Priya. We may disagree with how the schedule unfolds, but such is life!!
Fun to follow along with this story's ups and downs. A positive turn today!
Thanks Jennifer!
