What a beautiful story and picture to go along with it. I could totally feel the breeze coming from the ocean waves. What an adventure though! It reminded me of the time my family and I visited Rome and we couldn't find a hotel because they were all full and we didn't know the language and we were only planning to stay for one night. The hotel that finally offered a room said that by sheer "coincidence," they had one that could fit all five of us. When we entered, it looked like they had just quickly arranged a few mattresses on the floor while we made our way upstairs. But it was fun and I would visit again in a heartbeat! Just as you returned to Mexico.

Very nice! Really hope to do free diving with the whale sharks off Isla Mujeres at some point.

How fun to see this and recall my own Isla Mujeres adventures and the falling in love with Mexico adventure. Looking forward to your sharing your journey through that amazing country.

I've travelled to a lot of places in America, but never gone further south. I plan to change that in the next few years! You've got me hankering after that sun, Jeanine! We have such dreary weather in the UK.

Yes, the sun is exquisite, and the light ocean breeze, and the swaying palms ):
